There were 428 of you at The Fine Line for our CD Release and we can't thank you enough for making it such a special show for us. We will never forget it.

We will be working on putting together a LIVE DVD of our set from the show and we will be sending a link to some MP3's of a couple LIVE tracks of songs from the night for those of you on our mailing list. Thanks again and tell a friend about us.

We are currently working on our 3rd CD with 1 new addition to the band. Tim Krueger has joined us on Bass Guitar and we are hoping to add a Keyboardist to complete the band. Hope to have it done in the Winter of 2009. Have a bunch of new songs and a new sound. Hope to see you at some shows.

Our first singleoff our next album has been nominated in the Rock category by the Independent Singer/Songwriting Association(ISSA). The ISSA Song Contest is an international competition supporting the disciplines of songwriting, musicianship and performance in the independent music community.

The Brian David Band performs as acoustic trio as part of the following event: Born to Play: Live Acoustic Performances in 700+ Gap Stores. On August 20, 2009, every Gap store in the U.S. and Canada will host an exclusive, live acoustic music night to celebrate Gap 40 years of heritage in jeans and music.

We will be performing at the largest-ever simultaneous live acoustic music event, hosted by Gap, and get the chance to win an album produced by John Alagia. John has produced albums for artists including Dave Matthews Band, Emmylou Harris, David Gray, Ben Folds Five, O.A.R., Edwin McCain, Vertical Horizon, Jason Mraz, Unwritten Law and Grammy winner John Mayer. We have been selected to play a Battle of the Bands to earn a spot as one of the 2 local bands to play The Basillica Block Party this year. This has been one of our goals for a long time now and has been a small but big dream of mine since I started playing music. We are going to be needing all the support we can get, since the first round is based solely on CROWD VOTES. So if you can, put Thursday, June 11th on your calender to come out and cast your vote for us. The Battle will be held at Trocadero's in Minneapolis and we go on at 8:30.

Everyone that attends that doesn't have our second CD "Supposed To Do", will get a FREE copy. If you bring 5 friends I will give you a copy of our first CD "Up Down Sideways" as well.

We have a full band going now and are currently working on our 3rd Album called "There From Here". We are going to playing the Afterall CD Release Party Friday, May 8th at The Fine Line. Should be a great show to come to and pick up Afterall's latest CD which I think is fantastic. We will be debuting some new songs so mark your calender. See you soon. We are about a 1/4 of the way done with the album. We have a lot of work to do.

We are about to go into the studio to start recording our 3rd CD with the full band. We will be working with legendary producer Chopper Black who has worked with every major record label and some big acts over his career. Look for an April 2009 release of our first single "Are You Listening". Hope to see you soon.

Well the summer has flown by and we are excited for the fall and winter. We have got a full band now with two great additions to the line up. We have Randy Englemayer on Bass and Eric Hanson on Lead Guitar. We have a whole bunch of new songs and are going to be getting in the studio this fall to record a 3 song demo. Look for a show next year to get your copy of the CD and to be at the show we record our first LIVE CD. Look for us on KARE 11 on Friday, September 26th in the morning on Showcase Minnesota. We also are booking shows for the fall. So keep checking the site. See you soon.

BIG BIG news. I sent our CD to the National Business Channel CNBC as a long shot. One of the songs on the new CD was inspired by the meaning of the word Squawk Box which is a show I have watched religiously since I was about 19 and they are supposed to air the song on National T.V. sometime this week. I will keep you posted. Pretty exciting stuff. See you in December.

Thanks to all who came out and supported us at the CD Release Party. We had over 200 in the door and hope you all enjoyed the night. Working on a bunch of new songs. Just when I think I won't write another one, a bunch come out like throw up, well a bit more pleasant than that but. Look forward for you all to hear them. We have a show on Wednesday, December 12th at Acadia Cafe in Minneapolis. Have a great Thanksgiving and we will see you soon.

Good news my friends,
We have been chosen as one of the 10 Finalists for the FOX 9 Pontiac Battle of the Bands out of over 100 local bands submitted.

WEEK 1 voting starts today Thursday, August 9th at 8am and runs through Wednesday, August 15th.
Each week the band with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated. The final 5 remaining bands will battle it out on Thursday, September 20th at Escape Ultra Lounge. Minnesota Twins Player Nick Punto will be emceeing the event.

BIG BIG news for us here at Murge. We won our battle at The Rock in Maplewood, so we are advancing on the final round which will be held Friday, March 24th at The Rock. We need every single one of you to come out and yell and scream like it is your last day on earth. Mark you calander today. Even BIGGER news is that we were selected as one of 10 bands in the Twin Cities to be involved in the 3rd Coast Showcase where A & R Reps from National Record Labels fly out to see some of the best bands Minnesota has to offer. The Major Label showcase will be held April 28th/29th at O'Gara's Garage. Mark you calander. This is going to be an exciting night for us. Some of the A & R Reps include Chris Foitle from Epic Records in LA. Chris has worked with bands like The Fray, Augustana, Incubus, Audioslave, Fiona Apple, Franz Ferdinand, Shakira & Signed MN band Quietdrive.
Peter Torres, Director of A/R at Thrive Records in LA. Peter has previously worked for Elektra. Developed and discovered Ricky Fante on Virgin, Mozella on Maverick. Present project; Taylor Hawkins. They develop bands for specific major labels.
Evan Peters with Geffen Records from LA. Evan has worked with Papa Roach, Nelly Furtado, Ashlee Simpson, Trevor Hall, Limp Bizkit, Blink 182, Bloodhound Gang, Weezer.

Hey friends and fans,
First and foremost, we would like to thank all of you for making our EP Release Party a success. It was great to see all your faces and the energy was amazing. If you didn't get a chance to pick up an EP, we will have a limited supply available at the next couple shows and then it will be available online on digital music stores like iTunes, napster, emusic and many more. We have a couple of exciting shows coming up in March. We are involved in a fashion show put on by FAME digest Friday, March 3rd in the loft above Barfly. We will be playing for about 2 hours. So this is a chance to hear everything we got. Murge will perform from 9:15- 11:15 followed by a fashion runway show and an afterparty. Tickets are $10.00 in advance or $12.00 at the door. You can get your tickets at the stores, Cliche, Design Collective or Wear it. We also are in another battle of the bands at The Rock in Maplewood on Thursday, March 9th. Come out and cast your vote and help us get some studio time so we can keep bringing you new material. We have a new cover song we are playing in the set by Eric Clapton and a NEW NEW original called "Fear and Reason". Hope to see in the first part of March. Thanks for all your support.
